We're settling into the home and now the personal touches begin. We kept our upgrades to a minimum because we knew that getting things done afterwards will be much cheaper than paying the builder's prices. One of the first things we did was re-do the dining room. We paid to put bamboo flooring in there. We also put crown molding in there and in the master bedroom.
This is the bamboo flooring in the formal dining room. The installer was the same one who put in the bamboo floors in our old house.
We had a carpenter install the crown moldings and chair rail in here. He also installed more crown molding in the master bedroom.
