Jacob at 9 months

Jacob had his 9-month appointment this week. He's been crawling a lot and is cruising on the furniture. He weighs 16 pounds, just half a pound more than what he weighed at 6 months. The doctor isn't too concerned about the minimal weight gain because he looks healthy and is on target developmentally. Josh also gained very little weight at his 9 month appointment so we're not stressed out about this.

Jacob is eating more solid foods and had apple juice for the first time last night. He loved it. I'm trying to avoid giving him foods that might cause allergies. He broke out eating a puffy snack that had wheat in it. I put rice in his jarred baby food to give it more texture and help him learn how to chew. Just like his brother and sister, Jacob doesn't like to sit in his seat for too long. He tries to wiggle out of his high chair and I usually end up feeding him while he's on my lap.
