Things slowed down a little bit for us this week. They cleared out our neighbor's lot and started flattening one of the corner lots. That corner lot might be one of the first houses to be built. That lot will have a Pemberton plan so we'll pay extra attention to that building process. They also put a construction trailer at the far end of the neighborhood.
Here are more pics of the model house:

Here's a closer look at the walls of windows in the family room. We'll get a great view of the back yard. The wall on the right will have the covered patio.

This is the breakfast area. We get the window seats again so it gives us more seating at the table. The pantry is also located there, which is unusual. But it will be bigger than our current one so I'm not going to complain about its location. Next to the pantry is the doorway leading to the utility room. That's also the entrance from the garage. It will be nice to come in from the garage with bags of groceries and be right in the kitchen. Next to the utility room is one of the two staircases leading up to the second floor. The other staircase on the first floor is in the hallway next to the dining room.

Here is the front porch. It's smaller than our current one so we're planning to pull out the bushes and add tiling to enlarge it a little bit after we move in. We like sitting in our front porch on cool evenings and eat dinner.
In other Tran family news, Jacob rolled over the first time this week! He's 3.5 months and is a ball of sunshine. He smiles a lot and likes to talk to you when you have him stand on your lap.
